Year 1 Teacher – Full-Time Opportunity | Old Trafford | September Start

Location: Old Trafford
Start Date: September 2026
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Full-Time

Teaching Personnel is pleased to be working alongside a friendly and inclusive primary school in Old Trafford, seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join their team from September.

The Role

As a Year 1 Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping pupils' early educational experiences, delivering creative and engaging lessons that promote confidence, curiosity, and academic progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Assessing, tracking, and monitoring pupil progress to ensure strong outcomes
  • Differentiating learning activities to meet the needs of all pupils
  • Supporting pupils' social, emotional, and academic development
  • Collaborating with colleagues, parents, and carers to promote successful learning
  • Maintaining high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about education and committed to helping young learners thrive. The successful applicant will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
  • A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • The ability to adapt learning to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence using technology to enhance teaching and learning
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
