Daily Rate: £172.98

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in the Newport area. The school is seeking a committed Year 4 Teacher to join their team from April/May in a full-time role. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a crucial stage of pupils’ academic development within a supportive and inclusive school community.
About the Role
As a Year 4 Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils as they build on prior learning and develop greater independence within Key Stage 2. You will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that challenge and motivate learners while fostering a positive and purposeful classroom environment.

We are seeking a teacher who is:

A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills

Enthusiastic and engaging, with high expectations for all learners

Highly organised with excellent planning and assessment skills

Committed to raising attainment and supporting pupil wellbeing

Knowledgeable about safeguarding responsibilities
-
Skilled in behaviour management
-
Experienced with the Primary Curriculum, particularly Lower Key Stage 2
Key Responsibilities
-
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to Year 4 pupils
-
Monitor, assess and track pupils’ academic progress
-
Support pupils’ personal and social development
-
Create an inclusive, stimulating and supportive classroom environment
-
Build strong professional relationships with parents, carers and colleagues
-
Follow safeguarding, health and safety policies at all times

Implement effective behaviour management strategies
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
An Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) registered on the Update Service
-
Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
-
The legal right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
