Year 1 Teacher – Full-Time 

Location: Lewes, East Sussex
Start Date: After Easter 2026
Contract: Full-Time Supply (Summer Term, potential extension)

About the Role

Teaching Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 1 teacher to join a welcoming primary school. This role is suitable for experienced teachers or confident Early Career Teachers who enjoy working in Key Stage 1.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a full-time Year 1 class.

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 National Curriculum.

  • Assess pupil progress and adapt teaching accordingly.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Collaborate with the Key Stage 1 team and wider school staff.

Ideal Candidate

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 1 preferred).

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.

  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Committed to maintaining high teaching and learning standards.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
