The Role:

As a Supply Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging lessons following school planning and curriculum expectations
• Adapt teaching approaches to support pupils of all abilities, including those with SEND
• Foster a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment
• Uphold school policies on safeguarding, behaviour and learning
• Communicate effectively with staff teams to ensure smooth day‑to‑day cover
• Make a positive impact on pupils’ learning, even during short‑term placements

Requirements:

To be considered for supply roles in Durham, you should:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Have experience teaching in KS1 and/or KS2
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and flexibility
• Be confident stepping into a variety of school settings
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ideally have access to your own vehicle to reach a wider range of schools
  • Public transport is perfectly acceptable — access to fewer schools won’t affect your suitability

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
