Pay: £110 – £172.98 per day | Flexible working | Cardiff schools

We are currently interviewing PGCE students finishing this year. Early applications are encouraged as schools are already booking staff for summer term and September. Work as little as 1–2 days per week or build a full timetable. Completely flexible around your availability.

If you are due to finish your Education degree or PGCE this year and looking to gain valuable classroom experience before securing a permanent role, flexible supply teaching is a great opportunity to step straight into schools and build your confidence across a variety of settings.

We work with a large amount of primary schools across Cardiff, and offer flexible opportunities for trainee teachers to work as an Underqualified Teacher, Cover Supervisor, or HLTA while completing their studies or awaiting QTS.

This role allows you to gain hands-on experience in different schools, year groups and learning environments before moving into day-to-day supply teaching from September.

 

The Role

  • Work in Primary and SEN schools across Cardiff

  • Opportunities to work as an Underqualified Teacher, HLTA or Cover Supervisor

  • Gain experience across different year groups and classroom settings

  • From September, move into day-to-day supply teaching roles

  • Build confidence, classroom management skills and varied teaching experience

  • Excellent preparation for long-term or permanent roles

 

Flexibility

One of the biggest advantages of supply is flexibility. You can choose:

  • Part-time or full-time work

  • Preferred age groups or key stages

  • Primary mainstream or SEN settings

  • Specific schools or a mix of different environments

If you want a full diary, we can absolutely fill it, but the schedule is completely based around your availability.

 

Location

We work with with a wide range of schools across Cardiff, many of which are accessible by public transport.
Driving is not essential, but it can help open up more opportunities across the area.

 

Pay

Daily pay rates range from:
£110 – £172.98 per day (depending on experience and role)

 

This role will help to:

  • Gain real classroom experience before qualifying

  • Explore different schools and teaching styles

  • Build strong relationships with schools ahead of September recruitment

  • Increase your chances of securing long-term or permanent roles

  • Flexible work that fits around your schedule

 

Ideal Candidates

  • Final year Education degree or PGCE students

  • Passionate about working with children in Primary or SEN settings

  • Looking to build classroom experience before gaining QTS

  • Reliable, enthusiastic and adaptable
