Primary English Tutor – Derby (DE3)

Are you passionate about helping children develop strong literacy skills? TP Tutors is looking for a Primary English Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to pupils in Derby (DE3). This is a rewarding opportunity to support children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, helping them gain confidence, improve reading and writing, and reach their full potential.
What You’ll Be Doing

Delivering engaging, tailored 1:1 English lessons

Supporting pupils with reading, writing, comprehension, and grammar

Developing creative and fun learning activities to keep children motivated

Tracking progress and planning next steps to boost learning outcomes

Building confidence and a love of learning in each child
What We’re Looking For
-
Experience teaching or tutoring primary-aged children (KS1/KS2)

Strong knowledge of English curriculum and literacy skills
-
Ability to adapt lessons to suit individual needs
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping children succeed

DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
What We Offer
Competitive hourly rates (£25+)
Flexible hours, Monday–Friday, school hours
Approximately 13 weeks off per year

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
