Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a coeducational secondary school graded ‘GOOD’ in all areas during its most recent Ofsted inspection. The school is seeking an enthusiastic PE Teacher to join their high‑performing department for a one‑year maternity cover starting April 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, well‑resourced team with a strong track record of combining sustained sporting success with high levels of academic progress.

The School:

This vibrant and inclusive school offers exceptional sporting facilities, including a full‑size astro pitch, refurbished sports hall, fitness suite, and extensive outdoor grounds. The PE department benefits from a rich extracurricular programme, with teams competing nationally and specialist pathways such as elite performance, rugby, football, and netball academies. Staff wellbeing is highly valued, with Ofsted noting that “staff are enthusiastic about working at the school and very positive about leaders’ attention to their well-being.” The school also provides strong CPD opportunities, coaching‑based development, and good transport links.

What We’re Looking For:

The school is seeking a dynamic and motivated PE teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to KS5 courses such as GCSE PE, BTEC Sport, and Sport Studies. The ideal candidate will inspire students to participate in the school’s extensive extracurricular programme and represent the school in local and national competitions. You should be reflective, adaptable, and confident with planning, assessment, and data, with strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to high expectations.
