Job description

PE TEACHER- BIRMINGHAM, B36- FULL TIME- ASAP START- MAINSTREAM SECONDARY SCHOOL

 

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary PE Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in the B36 area of Birmingham. This is a full-time role with an immediate start. You will be paid to scale for this role and ECTs are welcome to apply.

The Role:

  • Teach Physical Education across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality PE lessons that promote fitness, teamwork, and resilience

  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies

  • Support and contribute to extracurricular sports clubs and fixtures

  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, participation, and safeguarding

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching PE in a UK secondary school setting (ECTs encouraged to apply)

  • A genuine passion for sport and physical activity with the ability to motivate all learners

  • Strong behaviour management and organisational skills

  • A positive team player committed to whole-school improvement
