EYFS Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) – Burnley Primary School

Position: Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant
Location: Burnley, Lancashire
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (September 2025 – July 2026)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: term-time only, pro-rata

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team in a welcoming primary school based in Burnley. This is a full-time, fixed-term role for the 2025–2026 academic year, offering a wonderful opportunity to make a real impact during a crucial stage of early education.

About the Role:

  • Supporting children aged 3–5 in a vibrant Early Years setting.

  • Assisting with planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning activities.

  • Helping to promote positive behaviour, independence, and emotional wellbeing.

  • Working closely with the class teacher and other staff to ensure every child is supported and included.

  • Contributing to observations and assessments in line with the EYFS Framework.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with young children in an EYFS or nursery setting.

  • Hold a relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification.

  • Be passionate about early childhood development.

  • Demonstrate patience, creativity, and excellent communication skills.

  • Be a team player with a proactive attitude.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
