Teaching Personnel are supporting an excellent SEMH provision in Horsham that is expanding its Primary department this September. We are seeking 2 dedicated, enthusiastic, and nurturing Primary Learning Support Assistants who are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with SEMH needs.
This state-of-the-art school boasts excellent facilities, enabling pupils with mental health difficulties to thrive through an adaptive curriculum tailored to their individual interests and strengths.
The Role
As a Primary Learning Support Assistant within an SEMH setting, your focus will be on supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom. You will work closely with teaching staff to help deliver engaging learning experiences, while promoting self-esteem, confidence, and positive behaviour.
Through strong relationship-building, you will provide personalised support to meet each pupil’s individual needs; helping them feel safe, supported, and motivated to attend school. The school prides itself on a strong team ethos, with clear collaboration between teaching and residential staff, ensuring you are always supported in your role.
Due to pupils’ backgrounds and behaviours, the role can be emotionally and mentally demanding. Successful candidates will need to be resilient, patient, and committed; driven by a genuine desire to positively impact the lives of young people facing challenging circumstances.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
