Job description

Are you an experienced and passionate Key Stage 2 Teacher who wants to make a meaningful impact on young learners’ lives?
We’re seeking a strong, reliable, and creative teacher to join a warm and inclusive primary school in the CF3 area of Cardiff — a community that truly values the difference great teachers can make.

This school sits at the heart of its neighbourhood, serving children from a range of backgrounds. While the area faces some social and economic challenges, the sense of community and care within the school is second to none. The staff are dedicated, the pupils are full of potential, and the leadership team are committed to supporting their teachers every step of the way.

About the School

This is a vibrant and welcoming school where relationships come first. Staff work hard to create a learning environment that is:

  • Nurturing and inclusive, ensuring every child feels safe, supported and valued.

  • Creative and engaging, using a range of approaches to make learning exciting and relevant.

  • Aspirational, encouraging pupils to aim high and believe in their own abilities.

The school has a strong focus on wellbeing, language development, and building confidence through enriching experiences both inside and outside the classroom. You’ll be joining a close-knit team that collaborates, shares ideas, and celebrates success together.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced KS2 teacher who can bring structure, enthusiasm and positivity to the classroom. You will:

  • Plan and deliver creative, high-quality lessons that spark curiosity and promote independent learning.

  • Differentiate effectively to meet a range of learning needs, ensuring every pupil makes progress.

  • Establish clear routines and expectations, providing consistency and care in equal measure.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues — becoming a trusted and valued member of the school community.

  • Bring energy, reliability, and a genuine passion for teaching.

This role would suit a teacher who enjoys making learning fun, values teamwork, and understands the importance of patience, humour, and empathy in the classroom.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent experience teaching in KS2.

  • A strong classroom presence with excellent behaviour management skills.

  • The ability to inspire and motivate pupils of all abilities.

  • A flexible and proactive approach — ready to ‘hit the ground running.’

  • A genuine desire to make a difference in children’s lives and support their personal and academic growth.

Why This School?

This is more than just a teaching role — it’s a chance to be part of something meaningful. The children here benefit hugely from consistent, caring adults who believe in them. You’ll have the opportunity to shape their learning journeys, help raise aspirations, and see the difference your hard work makes every single day.

The school offers:

  • A supportive senior leadership team who value staff wellbeing and professional growth.

  • Friendly, dedicated colleagues who work as a team and share ideas freely.

  • Pupils who are lively, creative, and eager to learn when given the right encouragement.

  • A genuine community spirit that celebrates success — big and small.

If you’re a teacher who thrives on seeing children grow in confidence, develop resilience, and discover their love of learning, then this is the perfect opportunity for you.
