Job description

Job Title: KS2 SEN Outreach Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, West Thurrock

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring and support to Key Stage 2 (KS2) students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Develop individualised learning plans based on students' needs and abilities
  • Implement strategies to help students improve academic performance and social skills
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' progress
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with students with SEN in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

At least 2 years of experience working with KS2 students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN Code of Practise
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs
  • Training in specific SEN interventions or therapies

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time hours with flexibility in scheduling
  • Work primarily in a school OR home environment
  • May require travel to different school locations within the region

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
