KS1 & KS2 Teachers – Carlisle

Full-Time & Part-Time Roles Available

Teaching Personnel is seeking enthusiastic, committed, and adaptable KS1 and KS2 Teachers to work with a range of welcoming primary schools across Carlisle. Whether you are an experienced practitioner or an early-career teacher looking to build confidence across year groups, we have flexible and long‑term opportunities available.

These schools are looking for teachers who can deliver high‑quality lessons, support pupil progress, and contribute positively to the wider school community.


About the Roles

We are recruiting for both KS1 and KS2 positions, and responsibilities may include:

  • Teaching a full class within KS1 or KS2, following the school’s curriculum
  • Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons that meet diverse learning needs
  • Identifying and addressing gaps in learning
  • Collaborating with year-group teams and support staff
  • Creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN or EAL where required

Opportunities vary from day‑to‑day supply, short‑term placements, and long‑term roles with potential for school‑based contracts.


What We Are Looking For

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong curriculum knowledge across KS1 and/or KS2
  • Confidence with classroom management and adapting to different school environments
  • A proactive, positive approach with a genuine commitment to pupil development
  • Understanding of SEN or experience supporting a range of needs (beneficial but not essential)
  • Reliability, professionalism, and readiness to contribute to school life

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
