Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a recent Maths Graduate to join one of our client schools in Glossop as a Teaching Assistant.
If you are aiming to become a fully qualified Maths Teacher, this is an ideal opportunity to gain classroom and take the first step in your career development.

As a teaching assistant you will be responsible for:
- Assisting the pupils who are struggling the most academically.
- You will work in small groups of pupils or on a one-to-one basis to ensure that the pupils are gaining a thorough understanding of the lessons that are provided.
- You must give feedback to the teacher regarding any concerns about the pupils’ development.
- You will assist the teacher in their delivery of lessons, helping manage the behaviour of the classroom.

- Competitive pay- the salary for this position is between £385 and £450 per week dependent on the requirements of the school as well as the hours worked.

The school that you will be working in is located in Glossop, it is crucial that you are local to the area or are happy to commute from the surrounding areas. It is a mixed, secondary school. The school is in an affluent area. The proportion of pupils that are eligible for free school meals is in line with the national average.
For this position, you must be able to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check, you must also be able to provide two employment-based references that cover the last two years of your work history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
