Job description

A fantastic school based in Kingston Upon Thames are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant with ASD experience to join them from January 2020 on a full time basis. Experience working with individuals with Autism is essential. The school have recently got a 'Good' grade with Outstanding qualities. 

  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • January 2020 start
  • Working with children aged 5-8.
  • EYFS/KS1 year groups. 
  • Kingston Upon Thames.

The successful candidate must be comfortable with the curriculum and be confident with supporting children across the Autism spectrum. This is a very challenging but rewarding role and the school are looking for someone who can take on the schools values and ethos and strive to do what is best for the children. You must have the following experience for this role:

  •  Experience supporting SEN students with ASD related needs.
  •  Level 3 qualification is preferred. 
  •  An understanding of autism and the desire to undertake additional ASD training if necessary.
  •  The ability to liaise with other support staff and teachers.
  •  The ability to support children one to one or small group basis.
