IT Teacher – Secondary School

Full-Time – From 27th March until the End of the Academic Year
We are seeking a fully qualified and experienced IT Teacher to join a secondary school in Tewkesbury from the 27th March until the end of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed and confident educator to contribute to a well-established department within a supportive school environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full teaching role, including planning and marking. You will deliver engaging and high-quality IT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on experience), ensuring students are both challenged and supported to achieve their full potential.
Strong classroom management skills are essential, as you will be expected to maintain high standards of behaviour and foster a focused, positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging IT lessons in line with the national curriculum

Prepare schemes of work and lesson resources

Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback

Track and monitor student progress

Differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs
-
Maintain excellent classroom behaviour and routines

Contribute to departmental planning and school activities where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Experience teaching IT within a secondary school setting
-
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
-
Experience with planning and marking responsibilities

Excellent communication and organisational skills
-
A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
