Intervention Teacher (Part-Time) – Primary School, Burnley

Hours: 3 afternoons per week (Part-Time)
Location: Burnley
Start Date: February 2026

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Intervention Teacher to join our friendly primary school team in Burnley. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to pupils’ learning and progress.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will deliver tailored interventions in Maths and English to pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, supporting them to achieve their full potential. You will work closely with class teachers and the SEN team to plan and deliver targeted sessions that address individual learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality intervention sessions in Maths and English.
  • Work with pupils individually and in small groups to close gaps in learning.
  • Monitor and assess progress, adapting teaching strategies as needed.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure interventions complement classroom learning.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Maths and English.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for supporting children to succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
