Humanities ECT

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive department at a thriving secondary school in Rochdale. Starting in September 2025, this is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about inspiring the next generation and fostering a love of history, geography, and other humanities subjects.

As a Humanities Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons that challenge and engage students, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary for success. You will be part of a close-knit team, working collaboratively to create an innovative curriculum and a nurturing learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4 KS3 and KS4.

• Use a variety of teaching methods to support students' learning and encourage independent thought.

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback that helps drive improvement.

• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.

• Contribute to extracurricular activities related to the Humanities curriculum, such as clubs or trips.

• Participate in departmental meetings and professional development to enhance your teaching skills.

Requirements:

• A passion for Humanities and a commitment to teaching young people.

• A relevant degree in Humanities or a related field.

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
