Graduate SEMH Teaching Assistant – Rochdale Secondary School
Location: Rochdale

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Graduate SEMH Teaching Assistant to support students in a Rochdale secondary school who experience Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs such as Anxiety, Attachment difficulties, Low self-esteem and confidence, Challenging behaviour and Trauma related needs. You will have a profound and positive impact on the students you will support and aid them in achieving their goals.
About the Role
- Provide one-to-one and small group interventions to help students engage with learning.
- Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers and pastoral teams to create a safe, inclusive environment.
- Develop and implement behaviour management to foster a positive learning environment
- Adapt learning materials and approach to support individual needs
- Build strong and trusted rapports with students to support their social and emotional development

Requirements
- A degree in Psychology, Education, Social Sciences, or related field.
