About the Role:
The successful candidate will teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and geographical understanding. You will be joining a supportive Humanities faculty with well-developed schemes of work and a commitment to high-quality teaching.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons in line with departmental and school policies.

Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and intervention where required.

Create an inclusive learning environment that supports all learners, including those with SEND.

Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment within the Humanities department.

Maintain high expectations for behaviour, safeguarding, and academic achievement.

Attend meetings, CPD sessions, and school events as required.
About You:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Geography specialist who is passionate about inspiring young people.
Essential:
-
A degree in Geography or a closely related subject.
-
Strong subject knowledge and understanding of KS3 and KS4 Geography curricula.

Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
-
A secure understanding of safeguarding practices and professional responsibilities.
Desirable:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Experience teaching the OCR or AQA GCSE Geography specifications.
-
Confidence delivering fieldwork opportunities or supporting geography-related enrichment.

A willingness to contribute to wider school life and pastoral responsibilities.
