Full Time | Start Date: September 2026 | MK10

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our secondary school in MK10 to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Geography to join our supportive and driven team.

We are seeking a teacher who has a genuine love for Geography and the drive to deliver engaging, challenging, and innovative lessons within an evolving and ambitious curriculum.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver high-quality Geography lessons across Key Stages 3–5

  • Inspire curiosity about the world, environmental responsibility, and global citizenship

  • Contribute to the ongoing development of a broad, ambitious, and knowledge-rich curriculum

  • Support strong academic progress and outcomes for all students

  • Play an active role in developing extracurricular opportunities such as fieldwork, eco-initiatives, geography clubs, and enrichment visits

You will join a collaborative and supportive Humanities team committed to maintaining high expectations and fostering a love of learning.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Geography or a closely related subject

  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) or equivalent

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Strong subject knowledge across physical and human geography

  • The ability to teach Geography at GCSE level (A Level desirable)

  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching A Level Geography

  • Experience organising or leading fieldwork

  • A willingness to contribute to wider school enrichment and extracurricular activities
