Teaching Personnel are recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Teacher of Geography on behalf of a forward‑thinking and rapidly improving secondary school in the Havant area of Hampshire. The school is proud of its ambitious and award‑winning Humanities curriculum and is seeking a dynamic and passionate Geography specialist to bring the subject to life for students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and well‑structured lessons that meet curriculum standards and foster curiosity, critical thinking, and enjoyment of Geography. You will join a dedicated and innovative Humanities team and contribute to ongoing curriculum development, departmental initiatives, and wider school activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver creative and high‑quality Geography lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum expectations.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment that supports participation and independent thinking.
- Use varied teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of all learners.
- Assess and track student progress, providing meaningful feedback to support achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Humanities department and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.
- Stay up to date with developments in Geography education and embed new approaches into practice.
- Support students in both their academic and personal development.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Strong subject knowledge in Geography with the ability to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- A passion for inspiring students and promoting a love of the subject.
- Proven experience delivering engaging and effective Geography lessons.
- Ability to plan and teach well‑structured, curriculum-aligned lessons.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to departmental and whole‑school improvement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
