FE‑Qualified Teacher – Secondary School (Leyland)

Start Date: 23rd February
Contract: Part‑time | Until the end of the academic year (minimum)
Location: Leyland
Pay: Competitive and based on experience

A well‑regarded secondary school in Leyland is seeking an adaptable and motivated FE‑qualified Teacher to join their team on a part‑time basis from 23rd February, continuing until at least the end of the academic year.

About the Role

The school is looking for a teacher with experience in Further Education who can bring their skills to a KS3/KS4 environment. You will deliver engaging sessions, support learners’ progress and contribute to a positive classroom culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons in line with curriculum requirements
  • Adapt FE‑level teaching skills to meet the needs of secondary learners
  • Support students with varying abilities, ensuring inclusive and differentiated practice
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively
  • Work collaboratively with the department and wider school staff
  • Uphold school policies, safeguarding standards and behaviour expectations

About You

  • FE teaching qualification (PGCE Post‑Compulsory, CertEd or equivalent)
  • Experience delivering engaging lessons and supporting diverse learners
  • Strong communication, organisation and behaviour‑management skills
  • Flexible, proactive and keen to contribute to school life
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
