EYFS Teaching Assistant, Chorley
Teaching Personnel, the UK’s largest and leading education staffing agency, are recruiting on behalf of a small primary school located in the Chorley area of Lancashire. The school are seeking an experienced and effective Early Years practitioner to provide specialist support in their Reception class. Ideally the role is to start following the Summer holiday.. The role is to continue until February 2024, however there is potential for transferring onto a school contract.

The Head Teacher is seeking a teaching assistant who has good knowledge of the EYFS Statutory Framework and is looking to make a positive impact in the classroom. They should be willing to ‘get stuck in’ to the planning, preparation and delivery of continuous provision and show creativity and initiative with their contributions. The class have been described as ‘challenging’ in regards to behaviour and a number of children are working below age-related expectations; accordingly the ideal candidate will be confident in their ability to manage behaviour and will have a proven track record of raising attainment in the classroom.
The school is an Ofsted graded: ‘GOOD’ primary school, which serves a pleasant catchment area. The proportion of pupils supported through school action and school action plus is less than the national average, as is the proportion of pupils supported through the pupil premium.
Minimum Requirements:
- 25 days experience in school, carried out within the last 6 months
- Recent experience within an Early Years setting
- Child Workforce DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new DBS
- Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
