EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: Bishop Auckland
Start Date: February
Contract: Full-time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Term-Time

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join the school’s Early Years team. You will support the class teacher in delivering engaging activities that promote learning and development across all areas of the EYFS framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and delivering creative, play-based learning experiences.
- Support children’s personal, social, and emotional development.
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support, including for children with SEND.
- Observe and record children’s progress, feeding back to the teacher.
- Work collaboratively with staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Holds an Early Years Qualification.
- Ideally holds a paedatric first aid certificate.
- Has experience working within an EYFS setting.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting young learners.
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework and SEND strategies is desirable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
