Nursery Teaching Assistant – EYFS
Through Teaching Personnel
Do you have a passion for early years education and a genuine desire to support young children as they learn, grow and explore the world around them?
Teaching Personnel are recruiting a Full‑Time Nursery Teaching Assistant to join the caring and committed EYFS team at Catholic Primary School in the Wirral.
We welcome applications from:
✔ Level 3 EYFS practitioners
✔ Level 2 TAs/Early Years Assistants
✔ Unqualified candidates with relevant experience, voluntary work, or a strong interest in working with young children (we provide training too!)

The Role
As part of the nursery team, you will:
- Support children aged 2–4 across the EYFS curriculum
- Help create a warm, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Assist with early language development, play-based learning and social interactions
- Work alongside experienced staff to deliver high-quality provision
- Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Contribute to observations (with support if needed)

- Eager to learn and develop within an early years setting
Qualifications are desirable but not essential — the right attitude and passion for early years are just as important. The school are IDEALLY looking for a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant.
Teaching Personnel can provide guidance, CPD and support for candidates looking to grow in the EYFS sector.
Position Details
- Start: April 2026
- Hours: Full time, Monday–Friday
- Contract: Through Teaching Personnel with long‑term potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
