Job description

Due to a regional English Teacher shortage I am working on behalf of two local Secondary schools across Bradford, looking to find English teachers for immediate starts. I need two teachers of English to join fantastic, friendly, and supportive secondary schools. Recently qualified and Newly qualified teachers of English are very welcome to apply. These full time English roles will run until July and then in to the new academic year.

I am currently seeking an ambitious English Teachers to join departments seeking to expand on current successes.

The role will include teaching and coordinating the delivery of English at KS3 and GCSE level across year groups 7 to 11. You will work with the Head of English (SLT Members) to enhance the department and will get the chance to be involved with exciting project work throughout the year. 

The appointed candidate will benefit from working alongside a highly experienced department of English practitioners, alongside support from a highly visible SLT team.

The teacher must have:

  • a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, SCITT  with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • a relevant English Degree or a related subject
  • experience of delivering English up to GCSE, pushing and engaging learners to progress within the subject
  • CHILD ONLY DBS on the UPDATE SERVICE – or be willing to apply for one right away!
