English Teacher – Full Time – September 2025 Start

Teaching Personnel is pleased to be supporting the recruitment of a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join a high-performing, forward-thinking, and collaborative English department at a well-regarded secondary school in Wimborne, Dorset.

The successful candidate will become part of a team committed to delivering a rigorous academic curriculum that helps all students achieve their full potential. You will work closely with the Director of English and senior leaders to maintain and raise standards across the department.

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious English teacher. Additional paid responsibilities (TLRs) are expected to be available from September 2025, offering excellent scope for career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of engaging resources, schemes of work, and teaching strategies

  • Support the implementation of the school development plan

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, inspiring English lessons

  • Take part in wider school planning and collaborative activities

  • Lead or support after-school clubs and enrichment opportunities

  • Promote and uphold the safeguarding and welfare of all students
