KS3 & KS4 English Teacher

 

Location: Southsea, Hampshire

Start Date: September 2026

 

A Secondary School that focuses on raising aspirations, strengthening pastoral care, and offering a broad curriculum supported by strong enrichment opportunities is seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join their team!

 

The Role

You will be instrumental in the school’s mission to provide every student a great education and real choices in life, regardless of their background. You will be a passionate practitioner, you will deliver high-quality, rigorous lessons that drive achievement and inspire a love of learning that extends beyond the classroom.

 

Who We Are Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential – this role is also suitable for Early Careers Teachers
  • A degree in English or related subject
  • Delivers engaging, challenging and inspiring English lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English Language and Literature
  • Creates a positive, inclusive and well‑managed classroom environment
  • Is committed to raising achievement and supporting every learner

 

Working Hours

  • Full time, permanent position
  • Monday-Friday
  • Term-time only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
