Full-Time English Teacher – Mainstream Secondary School, Salisbury
A well-established and high-performing mainstream secondary school in Salisbury is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and innovative Full-Time English Teacher to join their dynamic faculty. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and challenging English lessons that stimulate curiosity, develop critical thinking, and support students in becoming confident communicators. Key Responsibilities:

Deliver consistently high-quality English lessons across KS3 and KS4

Plan, prepare, and assess work in line with departmental and school expectations

Use a range of teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and abilities

Maintain high standards of classroom management, behaviour, and safeguarding

Contribute to departmental development, curriculum enrichment, and extracurricular activities

Engage positively with parents, colleagues, and senior leaders to support student progress
Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature

Experience teaching in a secondary school setting

A commitment to raising standards and driving student achievement

Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
