English Teacher – SEMH Secondary School (Wirral)
Location: Liverpool
Position: English Teacher
Contract Type: Permanent / Fixed-Term (depending on candidate preference)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and resilient English Teacher to join our dedicated team at a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) secondary school in Liverpooll. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people who require a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Support students with SEMH needs through tailored teaching strategies.
- Work collaboratively with pastoral and SEN teams to ensure holistic support.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working with SEMH students or in alternative provision is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
