Job description

About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated English Teachers to work in schools across Hastings. We are looking for fully qualified teachers who are passionate about delivering engaging lessons and inspiring students to develop their reading, writing, and analytical skills.

Whether you are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin your teaching journey or an experienced educator seeking your next opportunity, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Teach across Key Stages (KS3 and KS4; KS5 desirable)

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress

  • Encourage a love of literature and language

  • Contribute to the wider school community

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

  • A degree in English or a related subject

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English

  • Excellent classroom management skills

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
