English & Drama Teacher (Full-Time)
Location: MK5
Start Date: After Easter

The Role

This is a full-time position starting after Easter. The successful candidate will teach English and Drama across Key Stages 3–5, fostering creativity, confidence, and academic excellence in the classroom and beyond.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Delivers engaging and ambitious lessons in both English and Drama

  • Inspires a love of literature, performance, and creative expression

  • Contributes to productions, enrichment opportunities, and wider school life

  • Maintains high expectations for achievement and behaviour


Person Specification

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Drama, Acting, Performing Arts, English, or a related subject

  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with young people is essential

  • Experience with GCSE and/or A Level exam boards

  • Expertise in directing, musical theatre, or performance-based assessment is desirable

Skills & Qualities:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Creativity and enthusiasm

  • Strong classroom management

  • Patience, resilience, and a commitment to high standards

  • A genuine belief that every child can succeed
