YFS Teacher – Chester‑le‑Street
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full‑Time
Location: Chester‑le‑Street & surrounding areas
Are you a nurturing, enthusiastic and imaginative EYFS teacher who loves helping young children thrive? Our lovely primary schools in the Chester‑le‑Street area are looking for a dedicated Early Years practitioner to inspire little learners as they begin their educational journey.
If you enjoy creating engaging early‑years environments, shaping meaningful learning experiences and supporting children as they grow in confidence, this could be the perfect role for you.
Your Role Will Include:
- Planning and delivering creative, play‑based learning that encourages curiosity and exploration
- Teaching in line with the EYFS framework to support children's holistic development
- Creating a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels safe and valued
- Observing and assessing children to track progress and identify next steps
- Supporting pupils with a range of abilities, including those with SEND
- Working closely with teaching assistants, families, and the wider school team
- Bringing positivity, patience and a genuine love for early years education
What We’re Looking For:
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have recent experience teaching within EYFS
- Have strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and early years best practice
- Hold a Paediatric First Aid certificate or are happy to refresh it
- Are creative, caring and confident in early years routines and expectations
- Communicate clearly and warmly with children, staff and parents
- Hold (or can obtain) an enhanced DBS
- Are available to start as soon as possible

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
