Design & Technology Teacher (Temporary Cover) — Year 11 Focus
Location: Liverpool L12
Contract: Temporary (immediate start)
Hours: Full-time or substantial part-time considered
A well-regarded secondary school in the Liverpool L12 area is seeking a fully qualified Design & Technology Teacher to provide temporary cover, with an essential focus on Year 11 classes and the marking of exam coursework.
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled DT specialist who can confidently deliver engaging lessons across KS3–KS4, with a particular emphasis on supporting Year 11 students as they complete their exam portfolios and prepare for final assessments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching and supervising Year 11 Design & Technology lessons
- Providing high-quality marking and feedback on exam coursework
- Ensuring continuity of learning during the cover period
- Maintaining strong classroom management and a supportive learning environment
- Collaborating with colleagues to uphold high academic and pastoral standards
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
- A qualified DT teacher (QTS/QTLS)
- Experienced in delivering KS4 DT curriculum and assessing exam coursework
- Confident managing practical and theory-based learning
- Organised, adaptable, and committed to helping students achieve their potential
- Available for an immediate or near-immediate start

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
