Job description

Are you a passionate Computer Science teacher looking to join a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in Oldham? This “Good”-rated school offers a highly supportive, welcoming, and collaborative environment where staff thrive, and students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.

We are seeking a confident and engaging Computer Science Teacher to join the team full-time from after the February half term. This is an ongoing role with an excellent opportunity to make a real impact in a school with strong values and a positive culture.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong subject knowledge in Computer Science and ICT
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, accessible way
  • Creative lesson planning that engages and challenges learners
  • Confidence in delivering KS3 and KS4 curriculum
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management
  • Passion for technology, coding, problem‑solving, and digital literacy
  • Ability to inspire students to explore STEM pathways
  • Flexibility, professionalism, and a positive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

Experience is preferred but not essential — whether you are an ECT or an experienced teacher, we welcome your application.

You would be paid according to your teaching scale point (M1 -UPS3) £168.80 – £261.78 per day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
