Job description

We are seeking a passionate and resilient Class Teacher with QTS to join a specialist primary setting supporting pupils aged 6–11.

This full-time opportunity offers an immediate start and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and rewarding environment.

You will be working with pupils who have:

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

  • Behavioural and emotional regulation challenges

  • Communication and interaction difficulties

  • Additional learning needs

  • Strong focus on emotional wellbeing and positive relationships

  • Small class sizes to allow personalised teaching approaches

  • Supportive team including teaching assistants and pastoral staff

  • Emphasis on outdoor learning and practical, engaging activities

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual needs

  • Support pupils’ emotional development and behaviour management

  • Create a safe, consistent and inclusive classroom environment

  • Monitor progress and contribute to individual learning plans

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals

 

 

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs

  • Calm, patient and adaptable approach

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Passion for supporting vulnerable pupils to succeed

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
