Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Business Studies Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and well-structured Business Studies lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially KS5 depending on timetable)

  • Inspire students to develop an interest in the world of business, finance, enterprise, and real-world decision-making

  • Take full responsibility for planning, preparing, and assessing learning in line with curriculum and exam board requirements

  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and collaborate with colleagues to share best practice

  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages ambition, creativity, and critical thinking

  • Apply effective behaviour management strategies to support a productive learning environment

  • Support students’ progress and personal development, including GCSE and/or BTEC coursework where appropriate


What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Business Studies within a UK school setting

  • Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for business and enterprise

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to the wider school community

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development

  • ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply – full induction and mentoring support will be provided.
