Business Studies Teacher (Applications from ECTs welcome)

  • Location: Bedford
  • Start date: Flexible from October 2024 or January 2025
  • Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm
  • Pay: £143-211 (Main Pay Scale for Qualified Teachers)

We are working closely with a Secondary School situated in a suburb of Bedford who are recruiting for an Business Studies Teacher from October half term ideally, but for the right Teacher they will take a January start.

The role would involve teaching Business Studies predominantly to Year 7 - Year 13 GCSE and A Level classes (KS3/4/5). A Business Studies Teacher with at least 1 year experience teaching Business to GCSE is essential (open to ECTs with placement experience) and with Qualified Teacher Status. 

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Be an experienced Instructor or Qualified Teacher of Business Studies, and able to deliver to KS3 & KS4 (year 10)
  • Highly knowledgeable in Business Studies GCSE curriculum with experience working with secondary age pupils
  • Have a background of at least 1 year teaching Business Studies at a Secondary School
  • Be passionate about teaching and learning and have a positive outlook and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Good or Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour
  • Be able to plan and deliver a creative and stimulating curriculum, both in the physical and digital classrooms
  • High expectations for yourself and the students ensure that all of our students achieve their very best
  • You will be dedicated to ensure that all children achieve their very best
  • An aspiring leader of learning and happy to grasp exciting CPD opportunities
  • Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of our schools

Pay

You would be paid to the National Teacher Pay Scale salary between M1 - UPS1 on a daily rate equivalent (proof required for UPS).
