Teaching Personnel are recruiting for an enthusiastic and skilled Art Teacher on behalf of a small, ambitious, and forward‑thinking secondary school on the south coast of Hampshire. The Role

You will deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students to develop strong technical, creative, and analytical skills in a range of media and materials. You will contribute to the development of an ambitious and exciting curriculum, help prepare pupils for success in GCSE Art, and play an active role in wider school life through exhibitions, enrichment clubs, and creative cross‑curricular projects. The role requires confidence in delivering inclusive and accessible lessons that spark curiosity, encourage experimentation, and promote real‑world problem‑solving and design thinking.

Person Specification

Applicants should hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification and possess strong subject knowledge in Art, along with the ability to deliver inspiring practical lessons. Experience teaching at GCSE level is desirable, as are skills in digital media, CAD/CAM, or technical drawing. Above all, the school is looking for someone with a flair for motivating young people and fostering a love of design, creativity, and artistic expression.
