Full-Time Teaching Assistant Seeking 1:1 KS1 Support Role (Non-Verbal Pupil)
Southampton, Hedge End.
A compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant is currently seeking a full-time, Monday to Friday role supporting a non-verbal pupil in Key Stage 1 during full school hours.
This educator brings a patient, nurturing approach and understands the importance of consistency, trust and clear communication when working with children who have complex needs. With experience as a Teaching Assistant, within early years or nursery settings, or through strong transferable skills, they are well equipped to provide tailored 1:1 support that enables a child to feel safe, understood and confident within the school environment.
They demonstrate strengths in:

Supporting non-verbal communication through visual aids, routines and alternative communication strategies

Promoting inclusion and engagement within the classroom and wider school setting

Working closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

Providing emotional regulation and pastoral support alongside learning
Calm under pressure and highly observant, this Teaching Assistant understands the importance of adapting to a child’s individual needs while encouraging independence and positive progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
