A series of free leadership events aimed at those with jobs in education
are to take place across the UK this autumn.
The National College for School Leadership (NCSL) is planning to run a number of one-day seminars open to all school leaders, governors and local authority staff.
Attendees will start the day with an interactive workshop exploring different types of management styles.
The event's organisers say that a further session will introduce the concept of succession planning and discuss how it might work in specific schools.
An open surgery at the end of the day will offer a more informal opportunity for NCSL staff and school leaders to chat about their own experiences.
The first event of the series is due to take place in London on September 28th and those interested are advised to book early.
According to the college's website, NCSL is responsible for the development of leadership skills in primary and secondary school staff
Earlier this year saw the Department for Children Schools and Families extend the college's remit to deliver a national training programme.
