An English teacher from Peterborough has been catapulted into rap stardom after a Youtube video of him 'battling' with another rapper was viewed by millions on the internet.
Mark Grist used to use his passion for rapping to help teach children in his English classes, but after his video was viewed by over one million people he is now rapping on stages across the country.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, the 30-year-old revealed that he is leaving his teaching job behind while he goes on tour around the UK.
A love of poetry and literature inspired his rapping, and Mr Grist believes that this led him to approach it in a much more academic way than traditional hip hop stars and even improved his teaching.
"I love the craft and it has helped to inspire my pupils to achieve and given them a much stronger interest in English," he told the newspaper.
"I began using rap to teach my students about poetic devices and other elements of the English language."
A recent study by the European Commission has revealed that EU countries including the UK face a major shortage in people qualified to fill teaching jobs.
