London North West SEN Branch

The London North West SEN branch solely work with provisions who support the most vulnerable children and young adults who are not able to be educated in the mainstream setting. Our schools range form Pupil Referral Units, Behaviour schools, Local Authorities, Looked After Children Departments, Alternative Providers, and Independent schools. We cover the whole of London with key schools in Wandsworth, Kingston, Greenwich, Newham, Croydon, Tower Hamlets and Wembley.

The London North West SEN branch is the first and only one of its kind across the UK, as a result we look for specialist candidates with experience working in challenging settings and a passion for making a real difference. As a result the Behaviour branch offer specialist training such as Team Teach for registered candidates which focuses on de-escalation strategies and as a last resort which physical intervention to can use safely.

We feel very strongly about the provisions we support. In November 2015 the behaviour team took part in Sleepout where we all slept rough for one night for charity, the whole team then came into work the next day to continue in our daily job. We raised £3,000 for vulnerable young people sleeping rough on the streets of London, many of whom unfortunately feel this is their only option.
