Youth Worker: SEN TA role available!

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Baclkburn-based Behavioural Unit who are seeking a Teaching Assistant/Youth Worker to work with their KS3/4 pupils. The School are hoping to appoint someone immediately and the role is full time. The candidate suited to this role must have experience supporting pupils who display challenging behaviours and ideally hold their Team Teach qualification.

The School caters for pupils who are no longer in mainstream education for a variety of reasons. The School caters for pupils who can be challenging in their behaviours, sometimes violent, and candidates suited to this School must be resilient and have experience supporting adults or children with challenging behaviours.

The candidate must be available full time, willing to work with pupils who display challenging behaviours and looking for a long term role in a forward thinking behavioural unit. The School are ideally looking for candidates who come from a Youth Worker background or who have experience working with pupils who are disengaged in education.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- negotiable pay rates £54 - £60 per day

- long term position supporting pupils with SEN

- rewarding position supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties
