Job description

Are you a Teaching Assistant/Youth Worker with experience supporting pupils who display challenging behaviours and/or have experience working with pupils with SEN.

The School is based in Blackburn and they are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil who display very challenging behaviours, the pupil also has an EHCP and has Autism. The School is smaller than average and the pupil in School is in year 8.

The candidate must be hard working, have experience supporting pupils with SEN and behavioural difficulties and be willing to work on a 1:1 basis with a year 8 pupil every day.

The role will start as soon as possible and the candidate must be available to work 5 days a week until at least the Easter holidays. The role will require you to work from 8.40am - 3.15pm monday - friday, you may also be expected to work until 4pm on Wednesday for CPD.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
