Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with a Preston based Behavioural Unit who are seeking a Teaching Assistant/Youth Worker to work with their KS3/4 pupils. The School is smaller than average and currently caters for approximately 55 pupils, all male. The School are hoping to appoint someone with an immediate start and the role is full time. The candidate suited to this role must have experience supporting pupils who display challenging behaviours and ideally hold their Team Teach qualification.

The School is smaller than average and is based on the outskirts of Preston. The School caters for pupils who are no longer in mainstream education for a variety of reasons. The School cater for pupils who can be challenging in their behaviours, even violent and candidates suited to this School must be resilient and have experience supporting adults or children with challenging behaviours.

The candidate must be available full time, willing to work with pupils who display challenging behaviours and looking for a long term role in a forward thinking behavioural unit.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- negotiable pay rates £54 - 64 per day

- long term position supporting pupils with SEN

- rewarding position supporting pupils with SEMH Difficulties
