Youth Worker

Job description

This role is ideal for an individual who has previously worked within the youth or social sector.

  • Full-time Youth Worker.
  • Required to start in June 2021.
  • Supporting pupils who require additional guidance during lessons.
  • Must have experience working with children/young people who can display challenging behaviour.
  • Earn up to GBP1400 per month.
  • Secondary school in South Liverpool

The incoming Youth Worker will be supporting pupils with a range of needs including additional learning needs, SEN and challenging behaviour. You will be expected to support students inside and outside the classroom – specifically on a 1:1 basis within a variety of lessons. Many pupils need guidance to ensure they stay on task and are not distracted from tasks within the classroom.

Any specific youth or social work experience is desirable.

The school is based in South Liverpool not far from the city centre, and has around 1000 pupils on roll. For applicants on public transport, the school can also be accessed via bus and train routes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
