Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a hard working, empathetic, resilient and confident Youth Worker to work in Leyland based school which caters specifically for pupils who can no longer remain in mainstream education. 

The role is full time and and school hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday and candidates applying for this role must have some experience working with children or adults who have additional needs and/or challenging behaviours. 

The candidate must be; compassionate, have the ability to work on their own initiative, have a good sense of humour and be confident in their ability to manage difficult behaviours. 

The position will be full time and your role will be to work alongside the class teacher and provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils who struggle to engage in the curriculum. 

The position will be suited to a candidate who has worked with children who have SEMH Difficulties previously.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
