Additional support required this academic year for identified pupils in large secondary school in Bury, promoting engagement and motivation.
A large secondary school in Bury are currently seeking to appoint a dedicated Youth Worker to join them at the earliest opportunity to work with a group of identified pupils aged 11 to 16 who display challenging behaviour and find it difficult to engage in lessons. The pupils will require support with behaviour management and reaching their full potential.
- Full-time temporary Youth Work Teaching Assistant
- Starting ASAP until the end of the academic year in the first instance (July 2021)
- Secondary school located in Bury, accessible via the M66 motorway
- Supporting pupils with challenging behaviour who are more likely to be at risk of exclusion
- Working at a supportive and inclusive secondary school, alongside the school’s SEND and pastoral department
- Earning up to GBP1300 a month (paid weekly)
The incoming Youth Worker will join a team of teachers and support staff in who are dedicated to the learning and development of its pupils. The school is a new build with modern learning facilities. This will be a truly rewarding opportunity for the incoming Youth Worker who is dedicated to ensuring pupils have the best chance of reaching their full potential, especially from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Situated in Bury our partner school can easily be reached via the M66 motorway. For non drivers there are a number of public transport links that lead to the school from central Manchester, Rochdale and Rossendale.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
