Youth Worker – Year 4 - Nelson

Pay rate: £11.85 - £12.55 per hour (before AWR)
Start date: 8th January 2024
End date: 21st July 2024 (with a view to transition onto a perment contract)

The successful Teaching Assistant will support students in class across the subject areas, and deliver targeted interventions to students on a 1:1 basis during lessons and break times. Due to some of the students displaying challenging behaviour, the role will also involve working closely with pupils who have been withdrawn from lessons.
The Nelson school caters for pupils with a wide range of special educational needs including; Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties (SEMH) as well as other difficulties including ADHD and Autism. This specialist provisions is looking for enthusiastic team players who enjoy a challenge.
Having experience in supporting children who display challenging behaviour or have a variety of SEN is not essential but beneficial to fully flourish within this role. However, experience of a Sporting background in coaching or teaching would be desired but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
